We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. You will improve the manufacturing processes, develop CNC programs, and improve workflow. You will have technical expertise in CNC machining, tooling, process design, and continuous improvement methodologies. You will work onsite at our Devens, MA office, reporting into the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering.
Primary Responsibilities

Design the machining process for a central metallic component of our electrolyzer stack and support next-generation development of fabrication techniques for metal piece parts

Promote safety by practicing EH2 policies and supporting colleagues in prioritizing a safety-first work environment and culture

Work with design engineers, machinists, quality inspectors, and operations to improve the process for fabricating and inspecting machined electrolyzer piece parts

Facilitate process assessments including PFMEAs, control plans, and process capability studies

CAM programming and troubleshooting using Autodesk Fusion 360 or related CAM software to resolve real-time programming or machining issues

Support new custom tooling design, testing, validation, and implementation to production

Design, fabricate, and maintain vacuum work-holding systems

Complete documentation including manufacturing documentation, test logs, and test reports

Communicate updates and progress for development work and projects

Analyze production data and implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste, cycle time, and cost

Lead Kaizen events and root cause analysis (RCA) efforts
Qualifications

BS or higher in an engineering field, or equivalent experience in a technical manufacturing environment

5+ years experience in a CNC machining environment

Proficient operating CNC mills and lathes for complex parts

Familiarity with CAD and CAM programs such as Autodesk Fusion 360

Knowledge of GD&T, machining tolerances, and materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium

Experience developing and improving designs or processes

Shop drawing fluency and ability to communicate requirements

Experience monitoring machinery to identify necessary maintenance or safety issues

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.
